History of Skatagirl96

One day at school, me and my friend were talking, and suddenly she said, “Do you play Club Penguin?” I had no idea what Club Penguin was, so I asked, “What’s Club Penguin?” She told me to go to www.clubpenguin.com and make up an account. Ay the end of the day, I forgot, and it was months later before I made up an account.

In the middle on January 2008, Pingu Pengey was born. I logged on, and started exploring Club Penguin. I loved it. I went on nearly every day, playing games, earning coins and making new friends. It was then that I realised that you could make up more than one account, and that’s when I made Skatagirl96.

On 21st February 2008, I decided I wanted another account. My cousin was round at my house at that time and he was helping me pick a name. When I introduced him to Club Penguin, he made an account called Skata 8, so he says, “Make a penguin called Skata… Skatagirl!” It sounded like a cool name, but unfortunetly ‘Skatagirl’ was taken, so I added a ‘96′ on the end (the year I was born), and Skatagirl96 was born!

I was enjoying life as a non-member, but I really wanted to be a member. I begged and begged my mum, but she wouldn’t let me. I found out that my cousin, Skata 8, was becoming a member, so I told my mum, and eventually, she gave in and made me a member.*

I was loving Club Penguin even more as a member. I bought lots of clothes, and furniture for my igloo. As time went by, I began to know more and more about Club Penguin, like who Rockhopper was, who Betas were, and what happened when Disney took over. I like knowing everything about it now, but it was still pretty fun being a newb.

*So if it wasn’t for my cousin, I wouldn’t have become a member at all! I ought to thank him later.

History of Skatagirl96’s Club Penguin Blog

I had discovered many Club Penguin blogs at this time, and one day, I was looking around Club Penguin Legend, when I saw his ‘How to be Famous’ page. I looked at it, and it said to make up a blog. So I did.

I was a newb at WordPress at this stage, but after a few months, I got the hang of posting and pages and stuff. But there was one problem: I hardly had any hits. I tried advertising on Club Penguin (but ‘WordPress’ wouldn’t show up), I tried putting the link to my site in a comment on a famous blog, but nothing. Nada.

But then I commented on Club Penguin Legend (owned by Chief Pilot*), and he made a post about me and my blog on his site, and I got loads more hits! I’m still getting lots of hits now, but if I didn’t have Chief’s help, I’d never have gotten this far. You rock, Chief.

First Penguin: Pingu Pengey. Yes, Skatagirl96 wasn’t my first penguin, Pingu was created way back in January ‘08.

Skatagirl96’s B-day: 21st February 2008.

First Pin: Anchor (It would have been the Rowboat but I didn’t know what a pin was – LOL!).

First Free Item: Seashell Belt.

First Party: Water Party.

First Member Item: It was either the Blue Earmuffs or the Black Hoodie – I can’t remember!

First Best Buddy: A non-member penguin called Fredelli – she has always been a good friend to me, ever since I started CP. I still see her on CP sometimes now, but not very often.
